Our Members

Full Membership

Country and multi-country/continental Waldorf early childhood association may apply for Full Membership in the Association. Each association determines its own ways of working and sets its own criteria for the membership of kindergartens and early childhood programs in its country or region.
 
The criteria for Full Membership are as follows:

  • The working together on a regular basis of a minimum of 10 kindergartens and early childhood programs
  • Readiness to take initiative and to collaborate with colleagues on an international basis to fulfill the purposes of the Association
  • Commitment to offer annual membership dues to the Associatiojn to support its activities.

Each Full Member Association sends a representative to the Council, the main decision-making body of the Association.

The Full Members of the International Association are country – and continental associations of colleagues working to foster Waldorf early childhood education around the world.

The founding Member Associations of IASWECE are as follows: 

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, North America, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. 

Since our founding in 2006, Brazil, the Netherlands, Hungary, Israel and Japan have also joined the Association, and several other country associations are currently in the process of becoming Full Members.
