This  IASWECE working group’s intention is to support the deepening of the quality of Waldorf and Steiner early childhood training programs worldwide.

The group is exploring the development of frameworks and guidelines for the establishment of new kindergarten and early childhood training courses and ways to stimulate collaboration among those engaged in training programs throughout the world. The working group has created Guidelines for the Training of Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Educators to create a basis for a shared understanding of the qualities and competencies needed for the care and education of young children.

In addition to the working group's meetings, there have been several small conferences to bring together individuals involved in Waldorf kindergarten- and early childhood training programs throughout the world. The next conference is being planned for 2011.
