Training and Professional Development

This new IASWECE working group’s intention is to support the deepening of the quality of Waldorf and Steiner early childhood training programs worldwide and their ability to be recognized by government authorities.

The group is exploring the development of frameworks and guidelines for the establishment of new kindergarten and early childhood training courses, the recognition of early childhood training programs by government authorities, and ways to stimulate collaboration among those engaged in training programs worldwide.

Individuals involved in Waldorf kindergarten- and early childhood training programs in Austria, Denmark, France, Mexico, Romania, South Africa, and the USA met during the 2007 Whitsun Conference sponsored by the International Association in Hannover, Germany, to review surveys sent out to all Waldorf early childhood training programmes throughout the world.

The task force will continue to meet during the 2007-2008 school year.
